Good afternoon everyone,
We hope that you had a good weekend and are getting through the week safely.
 

Crime Update:
On the afternoon of Monday the 24th of November there was a burglary on Marsh Lane whereby unknown offenders have smashed the glass doors at the rear of the address and gained entry carrying out an untidy search before escaping all within four minutes. They have stolen a gold bangle from the address worth around £500.
 

Good News:
The team started off the week with a warrant on a cannabis factory on Rowwood Drive where we were joined by our colleagues from the Operational Support Unit. Upon entry into the property a significant number of cannabis plants were found and seized along with the paraphernalia used to grow and cultivate being destroyed. Further enquires are ongoing to locate and prosecute those responsible.

Over the course of the week we have been tackling knife crime around the area as part of Sceptre Week, a Force wide intensification around knives and the impact they have within communities and the lives of young people. We have assisted with weapon searches, proactive patrols and school inputs raising awareness.
 

We would like to thank everyone who attended our Beat Surgery at Sandalls Cottage Community Centre this past Friday. It was a cold and breezy day but people still made the effort to drop in for a chat.
 

Yesterday we were invited by Solihull Moors F.C. to join staff at the ground in a campaign to raise awareness around violence against women and girls. It was a productive and engaging evening with fans attending the ground taking the time to stop and share lived experience and learn about the free Hollie Guard App and free personal safety alarms were handed to those interested.
 

Following on from a warrant the team carried out this summer a male has now been sentenced to two years imprisonment for his role in the cultivation of cannabis. A fantastic result from the hard work of the officers who have either executed the warrant or carried out the extensive investigation that followed resulting in this sentencing.
